OT: Oregon TE gets 9th Year Of Eligibility

He'll easily get a 10th if anything sad or inconvenient happens to him in the next year.

Will he be the first NCAA athlete to collect Social Security while still playing?

About to finish his PhD.
Good for him. I assume he'll have a solid career trajectory after he's done playing. Talk about taking advantage of his education!

Who was the 49er who went to med school and quit the NFL? Another solid choice, though unconventional.

Is it taking advantage of his education or taking advantage of the NCAA stupidity. Look, good for him to get the degrees and all, but at some point you have to draw the line where you are overage. I understand exceptions with mission work or military work. But this is a bit outrageous.

Ridiculous. 1 injury year. 1 COVID year.

If that isn’t enough— sorry to hurt your feelings but time to move on with life’s work
