So Mario actually wants to live in that giant mansion he built in Quebec?
I kind of imagine a bunch of the top brass sitting around having a good laugh about moving the team to Quebec City and then getting real somber when they remember that a bunch of Yinzers would probably burn Console down with them in it.

Yep. Good for Mario. Hope he makes a bunch of money and the Penguins go to a quality owner, if he can get a deal.
Pretty hard to root against #66. Quality guy. I don't care if the Pens leave....which would be a stupid decision, given their situation in Pgh. But, $$$ talks. I don't like or follow hockey, but lots of folks do....hate to lose the franchise, unless they replace it.
The Penguins aren't going anywhere and the truth is they never were going anywhere. They have sold out hundreds of consecutive games and they have the highest local TV ratings in the entire NHL. Pittsburgh also has among the highest ratings for Stanley Cup playoff games not involving the local team. The NHL isn't leaving that.
Quebec City will eventually get a team but only after the loonie recovers and some American team conclusively fails. My money is on the Florida Panthers but that won't happen for another 2-3 years at a minimum.

Yeah, how in the hell did the brilliant math of some posters take the statement of "Mario selling" and come to the summation of the "Pens leaving". The Rooney's sold some of their interest in the Steelers, no one thought the Steelers were leaving.
