I think this ends up being a great deal in same way the Domoulin deal was. D has gone from being an incredible weakness to being very solid over the span of one year.
$4.4m/year isn’t bad at all. Hopefully he can continue to progress and be a key piece of this team in the post-Crosby-and-Malkin era.
A top pair/top power play defenseman and a starting goalie for a total of around $8m a year is pretty good. This of course assumes that Marino and Jarry weren’t just flashes in the pan last year.

If Marino doesn't get one iota better, it is a great deal. This deal has the potential to look like Nathan MacKinnon's contract where he essentially is making $6 mill per year for 7 years.
MacKinnon’s deal is amazing. Couturier signed a long term deal with Philly a few years ago and is locked in at only $4.3 million a year. Hard to beat that value. Heck, even Sid’s deal is a major bargain.
