Pitt baseball is taking the biggest step "up" out of any of our athletic teams. They are going from a mid-major baseball league to perhaps the best, easily one of the top 3. Using college basketball as an analogy, it would be like going from the Colonial Athletic to the old Big East.

Pitt baseball has very little fan support but if the weather is nice, I'd recommend checking out a couple games. ACC baseball is a higher level than the Frontier League the Wild Things play in and there will be future major leaguers and future major league all-starts visiting almost every weekend.

The dates I would circle are the UVa (April 4-6) and Clemson (April 18-20) series. Clemson is a national power as most of you probably know. UVa is kinda like the "Pitt basketball" of college baseball in that they have top-level regular season success even having a #1 ranking a few years ago but usually fizzle out in the NCAA Tournament.

The ACC separates its baseball teams by division just like football. Only difference is Syracuse doesn't have a team so ND takes their spot in the Atlantic.

Our home Coastal Series are:
Duke
GT
UVa

Our home crossover series are:
Clemson
Maryland

Our road Coastal Series are:
UNC
VT
Miami

Our road crossover series are:
BC
ND

We don't play FSU, NCSU, and Wake.

Thanks for posting SMF, I'm a little disappointed we don't have FSU on the schedule this year, only due to personal rivalries. I'll be at the UNC, VT and Clemson road series, hope to get up to the Burgh for a game as well. It is a beautiful stadium they have built, and the team is worth watching.
