I got the email today that I will receive the 2 tickets I ordered. I am planning on doing this in one day.
How long will it take to get there on a game day from the South Hills?
What is my best option for parking? I don't mind a long walk.
Thanks for your input.

You will want to buy a parking pass ahead of time. Passes in advanced cost $25. Game day parking is $60. Go to the nitterville web site and they have a map that shows you all the lots, and then based on where you will be coming in from call them up and see what they have available.

Got mine, too. For those that attended two years ago, where were your seats? I haven’t been since the late ‘90s as a Pitt student.

Parking isn't available yet for the public to purchase but you can go through ticketmaster for a general pass or call the ticket office once they do go on sale. Every pass is now for a a specific lot so whatever the number is on your pass, it will get you only into that specific lot. You could choose to find a garage downtown, park there and walk to the game. Not a bad walk on an early September day. If you do buy a parking pass, go early and make sure you take the appropriate route to your spot. It's a new system this year and guaranteed to cause some major headaches to people. They did sell out of parking for a couple games last year so definitely get it early if you choose to go that route.

Honestly, I hope you guys come and enjoy the last game between the teams probably in our lifetime. Talk trash, have fun and enjoy it one last time. My good friend will be there with his family wearing James Conner jerseys reminding me of 42-39 any chance he can get.

I didn't call today, but according to the web site:

"Single game general parking permits (3 permits per account, per game) for all seven home games go on sale Tuesday, June 18 at 10:00 a.m., subject to availability via Penn State Account Manager"

To add to what Gusher says...traffic flow has been been completely revamped for this coming season and I suspect the first few home games will be a mess. Fingers crossed, they will have it figured out before you guys come to town. That being said, I don't think anybody knows what to expect. A lot can change based on the amount of rain we get leading up to the game. Parking has been a tremendous source of contention since early last season.

Best option = get a parking pass and go where they direct you.

If you want to avoid the stadium/tailgate scene, there are a few options to park at shopping plazas and alike and bus in. It really depends on what you want.

not one statement in any of these posts in this thread make any sense. Are you guys talking about pitt football at Heinz?

Park at shopping plazas and bus in?
Traffic Flow has been revamped?
Single game general parking permits?
Parking passes cost $25?
