We weren't willing to stand in the huge lines for seats so that's why we opted waiting till Monday for an assigned seat showing at the McCandless Cinemark. Good Luck - I'd get there early early.Taking the whole family tomorrow (thurs) at 7pm. Bought my tickets already and hoping to pick them up at box office early tomorrow. Not sure what time I should arrive, tickets in hand, for the 7pm showing. Been a long time since I've gone to a sold out show. And not sure what it will be like going to a film that people have been waiting 33 years for.
Might be the biggest movie ever. If it does 1 billion by Jan 1, it will be well on its way.
Have mine solo tomorrow and taking the family friday. Reviews are all positive but as a huge jj fan, I expected this
In the spirit of full disclosure, we just pulled out the boxes holding our light sabers and put in some fresh batteries. Just doing our part.Good God you're a nerd. Star Trek lololol
I've had my Star Wars tickets for a month now. Just got a Millennial Falcon shirt to wear too.
"Hey kid, don't get cocky!"
pew pew pew!
Can't wait.
Yawn. Rather watch "Chopped" reruns. Can not wait. Technically our tickets aren't till Monday. Reviews so far are fantastic. The force is strong with this one!
I grew up with Star Wars. Right? You know the Star Wars bedding, the figourines, the cards, etc...
Have absolutely no desire, no interest now. It is just hype. I mean, really how good is anything Hollywood does to have to buy tickets to anymore? Not to be a Debbie Downer, but just think this is another Hollywood hype machine over inflating something from the past because they lack creativity and innovativeness to come up with new ideas and stories.
This is such a lazy, "back in my day" type argument.
Speaking of which, Did Rhett ever get back together with Scarlett? Talk about a HUGE sequel that never happened.I have heard a few people reference lazy Hollywood and sequels. I get it...but there is a huge market of people who have been waiting a long time to learn what happens to Luke, Han and Leia. So give the people what they want. And to their credit, they are introducing a new generation of characters that will carry the franchise well into the future.
No Binks, no me...sorry...Can not wait. Technically our tickets aren't till Monday. Reviews so far are fantastic. The force is strong with this one!
Recruits, respect your opinion, but you're a scrooge. There are many great films that come out every year. We all look for entertainment in different places - sports, music, literature, film, etc. And the argument can be made that by continuing this series at the same level as the original trilogy requires a great amount of creativity and innovation. It's not like any director can be plugged in and make it work.I grew up with Star Wars. Right? You know the Star Wars bedding, the figourines, the cards, etc...

It's not an argument. It is just how I feel. How the **** is that lazy?
Weak-minded you are. Misguided are your thoughts on Star Wars....No, I'm going to see Mockingjay Part 2. I'm decidedly Star Trek>Star Wars by far... Live Long and Prosper.
Reminds me of the South Park episode where the main characters, dressed in Lord of the Rings costumes, are on a trek to return a porno flick to the video store. Along the way they encounter another group of kids who were dressed like and playing Harry Potter. They began making fun of them and calling them names.Good God you're a nerd. Star Trek lololol

Sitting in a mostly empty theater right now with 5 college aged costumed geeks a few rows in front of me. I guess I am only slightly less of a geek because I am here. Show starts in two hours and there was no need to come this early. But I had no idea.
I will post a spoiler free review later.
That's where I saw it. Traffic leaving at 9:30 wasn't bad. But the food line before the show took an hour. As I looked around and saw all the people, it was hard for me to imagine that this is going on in every theater in America.A friend texted me that traffic around and in the Loews Waterfront was unbelievable. I have to hold off till Monday.

YODA > SPOCK....ALL DAY/EVERY DAY

But, back in that time, Hollywood hadn't discovered the $$$ of big time Serial movies....
People did a lot of drugs in the 60s.
Yeah, that was a lame mini series. I'm talking about a full blow sequel with original cast members and collaboration with Margaret Mitchell. The way they'd have milked it today.I think that later they did do a sequel, but maybe like 50 years later.
