OT: Roy Kent back at Stamford Bridge

‘Roy Kent. He’s here He’s there. He’s everywhere!”

The first two episodes haven’t been great IMO. But, I wasn’t that high on the first two episodes last season, and then the rest of the year was great.

I just watched the two episodes. I’m a Ted Lasso fan. I Always have been since NBC ran those little premier league vignettes years ago with him coaching Tottenham.

Anyhow, I watched and enjoyed the 1st two seasons, but I don’t remember any real laugh out loud moments. But so far this season, I caught myself laughing hard at some of it, particularly some of the Roy Kent stuff. And as a Chelsea fan, I enjoyed watching those scenes filmed at Stamford Bridge. The locker room, press room, and hallway scenes were authentically shot there and I know this because the tours take fans into those areas. So it was neat watching it, knowing I set foot in those exact places. Same with the scenes shot in Richmond, as I took a day and visited those spots too. I’m sure Crystal Palace and West Ham fans enjoy the show for the same reasons.

No Ted Lasso fans here?

Watched first season. I really only watch 1 show at a time. Got HBO Max for a year special to watch the new GOT. When that runs out, I'll get Apple TV again. No need to pay for more than 1 streaming service at a time the way I watch TV

I like Ted Lasso...need to finish Season 1.

@Fk_Pitt you see Tuch's getting the Bayern top spot?
Well Chelsea sacked the Ted Lasso clone. What a disaster. Maybe Nagelsmann comes from Bayern now that they sacked him for Tuchel. That would be a bit of irony.

Season 3 first episode was not good. It was a bit annoying. Things do get a bit better and a new over the top player gets picked up. Roy Kent is solid for sure and should continue to get more attention.

Episode 4 much better. Some relationship changes going on with every character. Only issue and to not give anything away, that many red cards?

Haha. Well isn’t this the same series that had a dog save a penalty in an EPL match? The series is pretty stupid, yet brilliant at the same time.

I’m enjoying this season.

The dog saving PK and impacting Rojas was kind of stupid but funny at the same.
I will say, one fascinating thing about this show is the amount of reading by everyone. I have actually started to knock off several of the books featured and have spent time figuring out all of the books kind of hidden in there and the subtle dialogue coming from books. I haven’t read poetry in forever, but I’m headed to the library to pick up a hold on Leaves of Grass. I think so far I’ve finished in the past few months 4-5 books from the show. Something I’ve never done as Ive always thought of it as cheating, audiobooks. But I decided to listen to War of the Worlds which I don’t think is on the show. Lots of time driving to soccer games might as well listen to something other than a podcast.
