Percy Harvin. Had an ok few years then vanished.Peter warrick, Curtis Enis, Lawrence Phillips,
I wonder if he would’ve fared any better had he entered the league 10-15 years later...To answer Ryan Leafs question: Vince Young. I thought he’d revolutionize the game. Guess not.
I’d lean towards yes. I guess he had some mental issues. Those years he had at Texas, and that game vs USC, I thought he was a sure thing.I wonder if he would’ve fared any better had he entered the league 10-15 years later...
He reminded me a lot of Kordell Stewart. Seemed like the perfect QB for the 21st century; mobile, big body, strong arm. Just made some boneheaded decisions at times. But I did think he was the “next big thing” after his time at Texas and even after his rookie season. Too bad he was plagued by injured and inconsistent play.I’d lean towards yes. Peter warrick, Curtis Enis, Lawrence Phillips,
I’ll give you another bungled pick by the Cincy Bungals - Akili Smith
Antonio Bryant had a devent career but I thought he was going to be great. I was also surprised Curvin Richards wasn't a better pro.
Carter was the first player who I thought of also. Total bust in the NFL.I nominate Ki-Jana Carter. #1 overall pick in 1995 Draft as the biggest flop.
Mandarich had a sneaky solid comeback with the Colts from 1996-98.Also, Tony Mandarich:
im embarrassed to say this but in my youth, i actually kind of liked DJ dozier. i didnt say it out loud because i would have been beaten up by my older brothers. still hated psu of course but i just remember watching a few games and he looked really good..I see Kijana Carter and Curtis Enis ... I was going to say all PSU running backs post Franco. Jury is still out on Barkley, but he has been disappointing so far. MIles Sanders has been decent. Larry Johnson had some good years but lots of legal troubles.
Worley was just starting to get it going when a nagging knee injury and drugs took him down (mostly the drugs). Those Steeler teams of the late 80's were so close to being great.Tim Worley and Tom Ricketts. I thought the Steelers hit the jackpot with those two first rounders.
