The Pitt trip to the Canary Islands and Spain got me to thinking about these foreign trips. Do any of the other sports at Pitt do trips like this? I know the rule is s 1 time every 4 years is the max allowed.

That's like a dream trip they're taking this year: Tenerife, Barcelona, and Sitges -- spread over 10 days.

That's some quality vacation spots.

They should just allow these teams to compete in summer leagues/summer tournaments and televise the crap out of them ($$$$) instead of making them go international just to get games in. Most teams take advantage of this rule by scheduling games in Canada or the Bahamas.

International trips are very valuable for NIL purposes.

No they arent. You can pay a kid $100K to run a camp back in his hometown when he goes home for a few weeks. Everyone says you cant pay foreign kids NIL but WVU has found ways to pay Edwards and Kriisa big money.

The way that West Virginia probably found was to schedule a foreign tour to Italy in August.

Yea but you cant always do the foreign tour. If not, you have to pay the player to do a camp in his hometown or maybe Canada or some nearby country. Its so ridiculous the way they get around these rules for these pay for play deals.
