OT: "Spring is here. Boat season."

I was waiting for the boat to jerk forward and the girl to fall in, or the boat to move a little and the guy standing on the dock to fall in.
I was not expecting the Spanish Inquisition, er, I mean the boat to blow up.
I liked the dude who survived the explosion only to almost kill himself falling off the boat.
This shouldn't have made me laugh, but it did.
Two questions: 1) Why did the guy in the yellow jump in? Was he on fire?
2) Did the guy in the white just steal that rope?
I think that guy was grabbing the fuel nozzle and hose getting it away from the fire.
This terrified me as a kid. After being taught to run the blower on the boat before starting the motor, to clear fumes from the bilge.
“What do you mean explode?!!?”
“How long to run the blower? How do you know the fumes are gone?”
I cringed every time the boat started.
