3 dropped passes
1 defensive penalty
1 unsportsmanlike conduct penalty
1 interception
14 points allowed to an Aaron Rodgers less Green Bay offense
#25 gets burnt because of a blown coverage, then is seen laughing it up on the sidelines immediately afterwards

all in less than 1 quarter of play

Did Ben go to Louisana and get elbow surgery from some hillbilly doctor? There’s no zip on his passes and seems to lob it whenever he can.

Also, the Steelers also suck against backup QB’s, anyone remember Jay Schroeder lighting them up the week after Joe Theisman broke his leg.

Ben is playing fine tonight, it appears to me that the rest of the team did not come ready to play.

No I don't remember the Schroeder game I remember Pittsburgh was mediocre during most of that decade and many teams lit them up

I said the same thing. Sloppy unprepared 1st quarter.

these announcers keep saying what a stunning start this is. Pittsburgh routinely plays undisciplined football this is not stunning at all.

Typical Steelers in a game against a team they view as beneath them! Probably have just as good a chance if Rodgers is in there because they would be fired up

without Joe Haden their secondary is starting to get lit up like I thought they would. Rodgers would have incinerated this secondary I am glad he is not playing. Brady comes to town soon and he will light them up again

Every single game Hoculi refs the same thing happens, multiple long long delays and many detailed discussions. No clue how he keeps his job, his games always have little to no flow to them.
He looks totally lost out there.

They’re gonna win, and win by more than the 14 points they are favored to win by. You’ll enjoy Pitt and Steeler games more if you don’t put every play under a microscope.

This group of Steelers seems to play only as good as they think that they have to. When they have to kick-it-up a notch, they usually do.

Not a good way to play, but it’s their way. I don’t see them beating the Pats if they come out this lackadaisical.

That’s been a knock against the Penguins also. It seems to work pretty well for them. I used to think you had to play great all the time, but not anymore. Just be 1 point better and put a stamp on your season come playoff time.

2 minutes left. If Pittsburgh doesn't score on this drive they likely will lose this game

I guess Joe Haden was the only thing separating this defense from Steeler defenses of the recent past

Yeah this is the Brett Hundley I was hoping the Steelers would draft a few years ago, certainly not the one I bet on when he stunk it out against the Ravens a couple weeks ago.

lmao at Collinsworth. If Rodgers plays Green Bay doesnt punt.

But great kick Boswell!

Had to have it. Was afraid they would get the ball first and go right down the field.

Got the Win - Maintain serve for home field advantage.

Yup. They can still take an L, but have to beat the Pats. Will Haden be back for that one? That will be 5 weeks from his injury and it was projected 3-6 weekks. Don’t rush him back.

We hated seeing him last night - likes way too much face time and his crew stinks!

We can be optimists and say that the offense has averaged 35 points a game the last two games, and put the team on their back for this one.

But since we are Pittsburghers, we will say that it wasn’t a Super Bowl looking defense out there. And we’re not wrong.

But back to being an optimist - this team showed that either side of the ball can carry it which is a good thing

So what are you supposed to do? Sit on the sidelines and cry? If you break the water cooler and show anger, you'd criticize that too. I think it's NORMAL to BE YOURSELF and GET OVER IT and be joking about something, rather than acting upset.

He wasn't that good, his first 2 TDs where more the Steelers D screwing up, than anything he did.

They made him a celebrity. The NFL should try to make a point of minimizing ref control and eliminate like 50% of the rules and either eliminate or severely limit replay.
