Rhonda Rousey got owned in round 1...
shes likely going to do an arbar and win but she got crushed in the face about 15 times, slammed down, and looks totally lost against this boxer

on to round 2

But but but, she could beat Floyd Mayweather.... LOL

Kinda glad she lost because she is a huge hypocrite. I don't mind people who have flaws or make mistakes but I do dislike people who are hypocrites or have holier than thou attitudes.

I don't see the big deal. She is a very good fighter that finally lost one. She has paved the way for other women fighters to get recognition in a predominately male sport. She was bound to lose sooner or later. She will be back...

I appreciate you trying to play it cool. But the big deal was made by the hype machine. But surely you do see the big deal. :)

For sure I am anti Ronda Rousey. I've never seen a more spoiled, entitled, disrespectful athlete in my life. Very happy to see her get destroyed.

I agree. You don't bum-rush a skilled tactician, and real athlete like Holly Holm, who was a decorated boxer and kick boxer-- Rousey got lit up.... Image gone.

Hmmm. I really want to draw some conclusions from this...

I can't imagine how small someone's life must be that the can't avoid 99% of the Rhonda Rousey hype, if that's what they chose to do.

I mean the NFL gets hyped up a million times more than Rousey ever has. If you can't stand the Rousey hype, how do you deal with the constant, non-stop, 365 days a year hype machine that is the NFL?

Are you trying to play sociologist?

I'm not sure why OP hates her, but I love her hypocritical position on domestic abuse. She calls Floyd the devil for his domestic abuse and then she proceeds to date an abuser. You can't make this crap up.

The UFC is boring. They stay relevant because Dana White knows how to market.

If you actually like the sport of MMA... all you hear is how she can beat up any man her weight, and that commercial that runs nonstop 'ronda rousey is not a once in a lifetime athlete...shes ones EVER'

I like recruiting too but the Pryor nonsense back in the day was too much to bear as well. Should I have just given up following college football so I can avoid it? well I didn't apparently because my life is small.

anyway I'm not sure what the issue is here or what conclusions you want to draw, but feel free to draw them. Ill give you the crayons, that goes for both of you butthurt fanboys and anyone else that fell for the media train.

I don't like her not just for the hypocritical abuse things, calling people out on things like that.

But expecting better treatment, crying and throwing tantrums when things don't go her way, trying to bully this girl and then using her status in the media to bash her when the girl stands up for herself..if you saw her on ultimate fighter when her friend lost, she threw a tantrum when the winner smiled! who doesn't smile when they win?

in this fight, she refused to touch gloves. fine, ive seen it happen. not often , but its happened. the cheap shot she threw after the bell in round 1 because she was getting owned. refusing to do an interview after the fight? oh her lip was cut. Ive seen people with ears fall off and do interviews. They interviewed the loser of the fight before her, who no one ever heard of.

They try to make her a role model when she is the furthest thing from an ideal role model you can get. Thats why I don't like her. Want to be a jerk? make it funny like Conner McGreggor, although backstage most people actually like him..

I don't know if I was accused of hating women. Really could care less otherwise. That being said; I watched the interview after the fight with Holly Helm. Carried herself with class and her response was articulate. A woman I could easily pull for when the rematch comes along and Holly wipes the mat with her face again. Thinking of Rousey; trailer park trash comes to mind.

So you like and watch MMA, and then you bitch about the person who happens to be their most recognizable fighter right now getting publicity. I'm pretty sure you are proof that what Dana White is doing is working.

Oh, yeah, and as far as being a "butthurt fanboy" wouldn't I have to actually watch MMA and care about MMA in the first place to be a "fanboy" of any MMA fighter? But unlike you apparently, when someone in a sport that I care about comes on television and I don't want to listen to them or hear about them I simply change the channel. Perhaps you ought to try it too. Seems like it would make your life more enjoyable. But, to each his own.

So you don't watch MMA or care about MMA but your pretty sure your right in this thread about.. MMA?
I'm sure your making a ton of sense in your head, its just not translating to the screen here jojo

What doesn't translate? You are bitching about having to hear too much about someone that you don't want to hear about. The simple solution, change the channel, appears to have never occurred to you.

As an example, I don't care about Floyd Mayweather. When he has a fight coming up, seeing as to how he is the biggest boxer on the planet there are stories about him on ESPN and Fox and whatnot. When those stories come on I change the channel and watch something else. Why is it that you find that so hard to do with Rousey? You can't stand her and think she's overhyped, but you apparently can't stop yourself from watching. If you could, what would there be to complain about?

If you can't figure out something as simple as this the problem isn't with the amount of publicity that Rhonda Rousey gets.

Well heres my quandary then Joey, and bear in mind I am just in an attempt to better myself at this point so asking for advice.

Help if you can.

You 'can't imagine how small my life is' because I dont change the channel when the 'cheat sheet' you wrote for this clearly says i need to change channel at this point. Ignoring the fact that on directv that commercial was on whether you were watching MMA, Football, Liv and Maddie, American Pickers, or the World Series of Poker.

Yet, you admittedly don't like MMA but are back here talking in this thread countless times now, about how someone should change their channels while watching this MMA. That you, to point out again, have zero interest in.

So can I take it from your actions, that this is a life enlarging activity?
Trolling threads on subjects you have no interest in?
Im genuinely curious as to what you, the clear guru of life measuring, think of this. And since its obviously a life enlarging event, exactly how much larger did it make your life?

Was it a one time jump? or every time you post does it get a certain amount bigger? Or better yet, is it incremental? So many questions!

Now I already know my life is small, like i said you established that earlier in the thread. But in an effort to enlargen said life, I need advice from you, the obvious go-to expert on the size of lives in correlation to channel changing and likely most other forms of entertainment as well.

Example
I really am not a fan of Justin Bieber. Couldn't name 1 song he sings. If i see a thread on this fellow, should I open it, go in, and ridicule people in there for their television viewing habits? Would that help me in my quest for a slightly larger life? Is that going too big out of the gate though, I don't expect it would be safe to just triple the size of my life or anything, I just want to see how a small jump feels.

Thanks for any advice on this matter.

You can avoid the Justin bieber hype but not a female fighter in Rousey??

Waaaaah

The hype was getting way out of control over her. Winning 12 fights by an armbar doesn't make you the greatest athlete of our time.
It doesn't matter how you win, if you win. I don't follow this sport at all, but Rousey getting her ass (or face) kicked definitely is good for the sport. It sucks when one team or person just dominates any sport constantly, like to me, women's college basketball sucks, it's UConn every year forever, it's never interesting.

I don't know, I might have gone down in Round 1 for either one of them!

My advice would be for you to grow a pair and quit bitching about things that you could easily change if you wanted to.

When I heard the question " who would win between Rousey and Mayweather?" I almost choked I was laughing so hard.

We all know Letty Ortiz knocked her around quite a bit in Furious 7... So, let's not act too surprised here, folks.

The only thing more lame than MMA talk is women's MMA talk. I don't know who either of these women are and neither do I care.

At least we're not discussing studio wrestling, so we have that going for us...I guess.
