OT: The Pitt show on Max

Shout out to our new favorite character on the Pitt…young Doctor Javadi.

Last night she said she went to Pitt undergrad and med school.

Only tough thing to believe was she knew nothing about sports. LOL.

Is this show any better than like ER and those types of shows?

I didnt watch ER or any medical drama. They seem like chick shows. Why is this different?
This one is an hour in the life of an ER...each episode. There's always Pittsburgh references in each one.

The one with Mr. Rogers' former employee passing away with his adult children there got me choked up.

And the story line on an ambulance that got stolen from AGH and they were taking bets on it and watching it cruising towards Monroeville on the Parkway East was hilarious.

We like it. Have watched every episode to date.

The show is very much about the patients, the employee's and the occasional Pittsburgh name drop. It moves fast and has a realistic feel to it. Seems like never ending patient trauma, though, creating an edgy vibe at times.

So it's a documentary?

Great show. Riveting even. I never watched ER. Now at the age where I’ve had much experience as a patient, I can appreciate this show from both patient and caregiver perspectives. That chilling feeling when you are a patient with a condition that could be a multitude of things and the doctors describe them but say we need the test results first comes through very realistically. Love the show.

Watson which is on CBS Sundays is also a medical show based in Pittsburgh. They had the Cathedral in the background several episodes ago. The Pitt is a much better show.

I get the impression it’s like 24 but only a medical drama version.
It basically is that. It leads to some oddities where a patient is sent for a CT scan and 4 minutes later they are back with a result.

Great deep knowledge about Pittsburgh. They actually talked about a South Hills table tennis club. I said “Git aht a tahn on at”. Looked it up and apparently they are the longest continuous run club in America. Who knew.

It’s the easiest thing to believe
Great show

In one of the shows they talked about one of the doctors going to Pitt and one of the other characters went to CMU, and there have been people wearing Pitt and CMU shirts/sweatshirts in some episodes.

ER was a good show, The Pitt is much better. I got Max for Hard Knocks and am only keeping it now because of The Pitt.

The series "Bookie" starring Sebastian Maniscalco is surprisingly good. 2 seasons of it.

I changed my mind. I like the character that's the infern with glasses. Good person who cares for her autistic sister. Cute too.

The Penguin was incredible… I’m not sure about a drought?
Yeah White Lotus followed by the final season of Righteous Gemstones on Sunday night were excellent. Back to back Walter Goggins series.

And I just finished Bookie starring Sebastian Maniscalco and it was great.

The last of us is going to be fantastic. They have some other really good ones but not great in the vein of the wire, sopranos, GOT....but a drought? Tv is over???? SMF got this one wrong
