Favela: A shantytown or slum, especially in Brazil.

I take it that's the SS slopes? That pic really makes it pop more than it does (looks better than reality, imo). I'm a big proponent of lots of colored houses. If there were more yellows, blues, greens, oranges and reds, then those would really pop like crazy.

That’s Troy Hill above the Heinz plant. The building at the top is the old North Catholic High School Building.

By "favela" I didn't mean to refer to it as slums. But I have been to Brazil a couple of times and the favelas in Sao Paulo and Rio are absolutely striking. See below photo on how I drew the distinction to the South Side Slopes.

He's in the window of that one yellowish house about two thirds of the way up the hill.
