Here’s a question. Ajax and PSV are good clubs. But how does the Dutch league compare to MLS? Leading the line at PSV is impressive.

Just a guess, but I think those top teams in the league are almost certainly better than the best MLS teams, but I'll bet the bottom teams in that league are worse than any MLS teams. Maybe by a good margin.

Look at the payrolls of the teams. Pepi's Eindhoven team has a total team salary of $34 million. The Groningen team that they played today has a total team salary of a little less than $5 million. Malik Tillman is Eindhoven's 22nd highest paid player (Sergino Dest is actually their highest paid). If he played for Groningen he'd be their second highest paid player, and only about $10,000 less than the highest paid.

I’d put the Dutch league maybe one small step up from MLS overall. Granted MLS has the Messi’s, Zlatans and Beckhams for a couple years at the end of their careers.

Like PSV, they have Ivan Perisic, Luuk de Jong and Chucky Lozano on their roster right now. None are Ballon d’or level but I’d say a bit more class than say your top few guys on NY/NJ Red Bulls.

The Dutch league is prolly the 6 or 7th best league in europe behind the big 5 and probably Portugal, I think its a good deal better then MLS. What pepi is doing is pretty incredible, he's leading the league in goals while only starting 4 matches.

Eindhoven down 2-0 to Shaktar in the Champions League today when Malik Tillman scored on a free kick in the 87th, and then scored from long range in the 90th, and then "Brazilian star" Ricardâo Pepinho scored five minutes into stoppage time to give Eindhoven a 3-2 win.
