Anyone in the lair watch this show at all?? I recommend it highly...Its on the history channel on Thursday nights...10pm...I have researched how accurate it is from a historical standpoint, and a lot of it is true and then again a lot of it is just a story made for television...Either way I think it is one of the best shows on tv currently...I work third shift, 12hr days so I don't get a chance to watch much tv but I think this show is just as good, if not better than "the walking dead".

It's maybe my favorite show on TV. There are definitely a few historical issues they fiddle with (the chronology, for example, is way thrown off, especially since it looks like they're making Rollo THE ROLLO). But on the whole it's pretty darn good.
It's one of my few weekly must-watch shows.
I have watched the show since the beginning and find it very fascinating as a view into Viking society. However, the only way to watch it is to DVR it so you can blow thru the commercials. The shows are about evenly divided between story content and ad content. That's a lot of ads in an hour.
Emotions are mixed on this one. Used to be my favorite series on tv, but has slipped the last couple years in my opinion.

i put it along the lines of a sons of anarchy, not on the level of walking dead(or hap & leonard, tyvm). its a good show, better watch than most of the crap on tv now but they will sit there sometimes for a week or 2 on my dvr before i get around to watching them.
Yeah ultimately, I don't mind too terribly much if they mash together chronology so that Ragnar can raid the Monastery in season 1 and Rollo can still deal Charles the Simple. The tone, costuming, and use of dead languages are all pretty accurate and capture the "feel" of the Sagas.
