Beaver Stadium is a trash dump but most college stadiums are. That's not the point. They have bleachers with 107K numbers painted on them and they get 70K-80K every week which is impressive ans since it is crammed bleacher seating, when the people next to you dont show you slide your but over a little to give yourself more room and the place looks more full and they are able to maintain the 107K lie.
One of the "renovations" being considered for Beaver is to decrease capacity by simply repainting the seat numbers to allow butts more room.

It is a dump, but don't try to take a dump or make a liquid deposit once you enter because getting to and from your seats let alone the wait time is a big chunk of time.
To be fair, parking at beaver stadium is superbly managed and the area around is conducive to tailgating. Getting into town can be a problem though. I've not had a problem getting out.
I have been to about 7 games over the last 7 years or so.
Pitt stadium was torn down for three reasons. Cost to bring it up to a higher level of amenities, training center and infrastructure repair. Face it it was a very good sight line stadium but it was old. Heinz for all its issues one is certainly not fan comfort. It is hands down superior to Pitt and that erector set in HV. The nits would kill to have the pickle barrel in HV.
Seats at Beaver Stadium are awful. When people stand up you have to hurry to sit down first or your seat will be gone. Bench seats with about 12 inches for each butt. The worst!
The restrooms at the erector set were awful 30 years ago and I'd guess they are still in the same condition.
Saw many Pitt games there as a little person and never liked the place with the bleachers.
The nits can poke and make fun of Heinz and of us renting it but it blows beaver stadium away.
