I expect Pitt to win this game. Do you? Or are you afraid to say? One thing I know though is that if the Panthers were to lose you'll have a list of excuses longer than the distance from Oakland to downtown and you'll try to con your way of the inevitable conclusion that it's a bad loss.

I've already made my prediction. Got the score from Neal Huntington. 83-70, Pitt. Where's your prediction, Cramps??

Only thing you''ll get from Huntington is Flurimon or a similar bum who fits in Nutsack's miserly budget! I'm holding you to that prediction...I don't want your typical set of JIG rationalizations. Just trying to keep you honest the last week of 2015!

Well, since I don't ever make excuses...MY honesty isn't in question. Your judgment, however, is.

Del, this is the part I don't get. What excuses? Teams lose all the time. FAVORED teams lose all the time. That's the only "excuse" needed. Of course, every losing team of every game in every sport at every level can point to some thing(s) to "explain" losses. That isn't excuse making always. Sometimes, it just is. How is understanding how a mid-season loss can happen any worse than irrationally freaking out about a mid-season loss?

This is a regular season game. No conclusions, good or bad, can be made from one mid-season game. If we win, the aforementioned "freak out, all caps" posters will run out and buy final four tickets, then declare it a travesty when the team doesn't make it there. If we lose, it is some travesty that "should never happen to any of 'my' favorite teams in any sport at any level", when these things happen daily, to different teams, in all sports, at all levels. I get rooting for your favorite teams and hoping for a win. I don't get a random sample of a person's favorite teams HAVING to win, all the time, every year, or it is some kind of travesty. Some people manage to get themselves angry at the Steelers, Penguins, Pitt FB and BB, and the Pirates during the MLB off season, all at the same time. As if no team from the Burgh should ever do poorly or have bad things happen. Getting overly upset at a mid-season loss to a typically very good team, in perhaps a down year for them? Why? What does it buy you? If we win, I will be happy, but not go over board posting any kind of told you so posts. It's just one game. If they lose, I will be disappointed, but I likewise won't come running on here to ask how a Pitt BB team could possibly lose a game. Losing to SU is hardly a travesty. Disappointing...yes. Devastating, I guess to some, not to me.

Games over as soon as Artis shuts his trap about Cuses defense sucking...we don't need them fired up any more
