Panther Challenge Continues with Weight Room Workout
PITTSBURGH – The University of Pittsburgh men’s basketball team stayed home for Day 2 of the Panther Challenge Tuesday trading in running the hills of Oakland for an intense two-hour session in the weight room at the Petersen Events Center.
Tuesday’s routine began at 6 a.m. with a “Bring Sally Up” lunge challenge before moving on to a 300-rep Spartan workout, which consisted of 25 pull-ups, 50 deadlifts (135 pounds), 50 push-ups, 50 box jumps, 50 push press, 50 floor wipers and another 25 pull-ups in 15 minutes.
The Panthers then knocked out 1,000 pushups as a team before concluding with a 10-minutes core routine.
