Panther Challenge Continues at the Pete

PITTSBURGH – The University of Pittsburgh men’s basketball team hit the court, stairs and hills surrounding the Petersen Events Center for Day 4 of the Panther Challenge.

The day began with the whole team doing stadium steps inside the Petersen Events Center, covering each step of the lower and upper bowl of the 12,508-seat facility. Following the steps, the team ventured outside to Sutherland Drive, where each player, going two at a time, put on a weighted vest and carried a 75-pound weight bag from the bottom of the drive to the top. At the top, they performed 50 squat presses and 50 pushups before heading back down the hill to switch off with a teammate. When not lugging the weighted bag up the hill the players were doing mountain climbers.

PantherVision was alongside the team to collect all the sights and sounds from Thursday's workout.
