Pitt had dropped to No. 41 in RPI rankings after playing Western Carolina. They have made their way back into the Top 20 with wins over Georgia Tech and Notre Dame.

Pitt is tied for No. 19 in the ESPN version although they are No. 17 in both Yahoo's and CBS' versions of the RPI rankings. Georgia Tech beating Virginia was a short term boost to our RPI ranking although long term should cancel its self out.

The ACC is ranked No. 3 as a conference in the RPI rankings behind the PAC 12 and the Big 12 so Pitt should get a boost if we win our share of conference games.

Pitt continues to be No. 1 in free throw shooting. Yesterday Pitt made 20 of 24 and that was a big reason for the win in South Bend.

Pitt is No. 12 in scoring in the nation. They are on pace to be the highest scoring team in Pitt history. It will be interesting to see if they can keep it up.

Pitt ranks No. 4 in the country in assists per game and it appears they are No. 2 in assists/turnover ratio. These are stats Jamie Dixon loves in his teams.

Not sure Pitt will move up in the polls this week as most of the teams directly above them also won this week.
