Paris Ford = Superman

I remember the 1982 Steel Valley team that went undefeated and won state. I was a scrub on the Peters Township team that lost to them 26-13. Seems like we pushed them up and down the field more than they fid us, but the broke a few big plays with pure speed. Track legend Clinton Davis was on that team, but he was more oc a decoy I think.

That team was all about defense and breaking a few big plays. This year's team looks a lot more dominant.

Sorry to the pundits, but our defense is going to be bad ass soon.

Good observations, and I can see some Pitt Self Deprecating Humor in that too, some might say Pitt's Defense is "Bad Ass" now and was all year long if one looks at the NCAA Stats?

However, I see it another way......."Pitt's Angels on Offense" were "Pitt's Devils on Defense"!

Sooner not Later, both will merge to become like "Pitt's Special Teams" leading the NCAA this year by complimenting all Units in contributing and bringing Pitt back to Top 25 Winning and next years even higher!

Pitt Players still played all 4 Quarters and came up short on 3 games, and made mistakes in only one in the Second Half......the Coaches will correct it with players like Ford and other Smart Recruits that choose Pitt!

Panic Exists East of Pitt!

Can't wait to beat them at their home next year
Many East of Pitt think PSU will just get stronger and they are not wrong to think that way. The USC Bowl game will portend some of that, and I have no problem if PSU beats the Trojans. If they do, PSU should be the #1 Ranked Early Preseason!

If they don't, Teams will adjust from this year, and shall see if those adjustments worked or PSU makes their type of football go top 4 Quarters, anything less than 11-2 again will upset many of them again.

#1 in PA? Certainly not in the country....

1982 was the first year of District 3 playoffs. Steel-High, Cumerland Valley, and Steel Valley were Tri State champs ranked by Dr Saylor. Remember that season well.
