Parker Stewart Sighting

Had 18. 5-12 from 3. He'd probably be starting for us right now over Murphy. He is averaging 39% from 3. Murphy is shooting 29%.

Not really. It is best we flush all memories of the Stallings' fiasco down the proverbial toilet.
Ok. So maybe he’s better than Murphy. Who cares. Neither are near good enough as an overall player. If Capel can’t recruit (sooner than later) at a higher level than those 2 we’ll be stuck in the mud or he may not be here very long.
I didn't bring him up. I like Murphy and I think most everyone on here would agree he's an ACC-level player, though not an ACC-level starter on a good team. And Stewart is better but nobody believes that.
Hate to say , but I agree 100% with you on this . Every team needs a guy or two who can shoot . If he can play great D , rebound , handle the ball and assist they play one yr and go to the NBA which means he’s not a Pitt recruit !

This wasn’t really directed towards you.
But the entirety of continuing to talk about Parker is tired. And stupid. He left. Voluntarily. He wasn’t run out of here. Had Capel told him to beat it then maybe there’s some reasons to talk about this. But he decided to leave.
If they are I haven’t seen it. Some people were all a flutter after one game. But otherwise he’s proven to be just so so and I think everyone recognizes it.
And Stewart plays more minutes and shoots more than anyone on the team. They are also 3-7 this season, so it looks like losing followed him there. They did beat St. Louis Pharmacy, though. Not joking. They actually played St. Louis Pharmacy.
Their JV team is called St. Louis Over the Counter.

I was flipping between games last night, and was a little surprised to see him. You can tell he has hit the weight room and refined his body a bit. He is a pretty good shooter, but takes a lot of bad shots. Their team is poorly coached. I would say Murphy and Stewart are pretty similar. They are a positive to the team when their shot is on, but a detriment when the shot is off. They are both mediocre as far as athletic ability is concerned and neither one is good on the defense end. Not much difference in their game.
Which means Stewart plays and shoots without any pressure, 3-7, winning is secondary to Sonny scoring and being named all-whatever league we're in.......
Who cares what Stewart is doing? He's not a Pitt player. And when he's on the court, he gives up more points than he scores. That's one of the reasons why their team is so bad. You can't win if your players can't or don't want to play defense. And he just doesn't have the ability to play defense. That's a prerequisite to play major college basketball anywhere, if you want to win. You gotta play defense!
Say this all the time, the same people keep bringing up Stallings players all the time , because they supported him staying another year and wont accept the fact they where wrong.
