Just received the following email:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thank you for your tremendous support as a Pitt football season ticket holder. You are a vital part of our team and we look forward to seeing you for the 2020 season at Heinz Field.
In preparation for the upcoming season, I would like to provide you with important information regarding parking down at the North Shore. You are receiving this email because you purchased season parking this past year.
As you may be aware, information was recently released to the public regarding the development of the Gold 4 Lot. This location will become home to an eight-story complex, which will include up to 48 residential units, a parking garage, and retail and office space. See article HERE.
As we continue to gather information, and in the interest of avoiding delays with our renewal process, the Panthers Ticket Office will release season ticket and parking renewals for the 2020 season. These renewals will include the normal components related to your season parking but will not include a parking assignment. Pitt Athletics, along with Heinz Field and ALCO Parking, will discuss the best course of action as it relates to parking assignments for the 2020 football season. As more information becomes available we will be sure to share it with our fans!
Should the decision be made to reassign parking for the 2020 season, fans should consider the following:
1. Do you park as a group with other account holders? If so, be prepared to share that information with the Panthers Ticket Office.
2. All parking accounts will be contacted and placed into parking lots based on their rank within the Panther Club.
a. A timeline for this process is not yet in place but will be communicated to fans as more information becomes available.
Should you have any questions, please call the Panthers Ticket Office at 1-800-643-7488 or send an email to tickets@athletics.pitt.edu.
Hail to Pitt!

The stadium doesn't feel like ours, the tailgating is shrinking, and now there is the possibility that we are asked to renew without knowing where we can park. Last year was the first year I could finally sneak into Gold 1 since they had so many non renewals, it would be a pretty big bummer to find out right before the season that I haven't donated enough in my short time since graduation to be considered worthy to retain my spot.
It seems like every decision on the North Shore centers around what would be the least beneficial for Pitt. I realize it is hyperbole, but I would love to know the last thing that they did there that Pitt can say "wow, this will be great for our atmosphere."
