Sorry guys but truth is truth. This is Pat McAfee's country and we are lucky to be living in it. His talent is unmatched.

Love his show. Definitely an acquired taste.
My wife doesn’t get him at all.
Retired. Gives me a goofy hour and a half of entertainment mid day.

same with the NFL pregames. A giant giggle fest.
Honestly for me, it beats analyzing the games like it’s brain surgery. So guys like Pat can be entertaining. Still though, I don’t watch any of the content on espn.

Everyone is trying to capture a formula that is as successful as Shaq and Charles on TNT. Tough to do but some do a decent job.

I think the difference is genuine funny vs being an obnoxious jackass. Shaq and Barkley are hilarious. I also don't watch much of these shows. I dont need to hear guys talk that think they are so smart. The worst thing on espn is when they have their personalities act like coaches and give pep talks.

I like him a lot. However, I wish he had more wit to match his personality. He's like 80:20 style to substance. But he's great on Game Day.

I have to admit, I NEVER watch any program he's other than a game broadcast or two.

I did watch that video, and I'm surprised that he's full yinzer accent. I don't remember that strong of an accent on the game broadcasts.

That video made me think he was trying to out yinzer Wanny as the most yinzer of any national personalities.

Well done on his part.

McAfee brings a different element to ESPN and it's a nice change of pace from a lot of the pretentious analysts and reporters they have. He's a great fit for the modern college football and his show is generally entertaining.

I can’t stand he is from West Virginia, the belt buckles, his loud annoying voice on college game day, and his face. Other than that I think he is ok.

I dont know how a Pitt fan cant like this guy. We won 13-9 largely due to him. And he is as Yinzer as it gets. A total legend.

I can take him in 5 min segments. He is so annoying. But he fits with what espn wants to be which is a bunch of dudes bro-ing it up.
I actually don't think that's what ESPN wants to be, but I think they realize that's what a very large portion of sports watching America wants and they are in it for ratings obviously.

Correct. The "bro" model is very very popular right now. All those bro podcasts are lighting up the Internet. Its what the people want.

Right -- I actually think the higher ups at ESPN are big city east coast/northeast Ivy League types. They subconsciously think they know it all, big city east coast social values, etc. But the bro culture is very pervasive in sports and bringing in McAfee their effort to tap into it.

Agreed. And although I realize Fox Sports is completely different than Fox News, I would have thought Fox Sports would have great crossover appeal if they also bro'd it up. Instead they have unwatchable football nerds on their shows. The people want to see McAfee acting like they'd act.

AJ Hawk= caveman

Thank you. I've always thought AJ Hawk was one of the ugliest humans. Like its hard for me to look at him. I dont know what it is but he looks...like....fake or something. I seriously hate when he comes on, but only because I hate looking at him. He's the ONLY tv personality I can say that about.

LeBron makes ESPN a lot of money, so of course they like him.

It's the same reason they like McAfee and Screamin' A and a whole host of other people. And the moment that that stops being the case, ESPN won't like any of them nearly as much.

There are certain types of people who really really hate LeBron.

Without Kennywood, I'd be missing some of the best moments of my life.

As a little kid my family used to go, and we'd always find our parents at the cafeteria by the merry-go-round when we needed them. I went before I was tall enough to ride any coasters outside of kiddie land.

In grade school, our class annual school picnics were at Kennywood. I even took the train to get there a couple times.
In high school, we all went too. I remember a bunch of us being banned from the row boats.
On prom weekend, we went there the 2nd day.

When I worked at Westinghouse, we even had a day when the whole plant went.

I went there with my daughter, both when she was a child and an adult. We had extended families with aunts, cousins, nephews and nieces spend a day.

Kennywood was definitely an important part of my life. I love Kennywood.

Same type of memories. Doesnt change the fact that Kennywood is the TJ Maxx of amusement parks though.

And why does he have to tell people he’s the best player who ever lived? MJ never had to do that. Tom Brady and Gretzky/Lemieux go out of their way to tell the world that they aren’t/weren’t the best. Lebron isn’t a WWE wrestler or Mohammed Ali. Just shut up already. Why can’t people like you just accept that he can be an unlikable guy? Just like MacAfee. Just like Madden, Aaron Rodgers, AJ Hawk, Stephen A, etc.
