Nice, what's the competition like? Guy runs through defenses like the second coming of Rushel Shell.
You spelled single A high school defenses wrong.

I think the VPI game was the only one I remember him having a power running game. Most of the other games at Pitt he played in he seemed to go down pretty easily for a 200 plus pound back.

Troll or just grumpy?

Cautious. Offers are good. Not on the hype train until I know more about him, that's all. Who can give a good analysis of his game? Videos only tell part of the story. Has the "look" of a power back but, from what I saw of the defenses, the kids looked on the smaller size like AA or A competition, but that's not his fault.

Is he being recruited as a RB? He looks more like a future MLB to me. It's hard to evaluate his speed. He looks like a 4.8-4.9 guy to me. He actually reminds me of HB Blades a bit when you see some of his defensive film.

He's a hard evaluation based upon film imo. His defensive film translates better to college ball imo.

In terms of his schedule, it's traditionally not the strongest in VA. However, Mike Vick played in that conference.

Thanks, I forgot to complete my thoughts about his defensive plays, but you did it for me. I would have thought Shell would have been a good LB ,from my previous comment, much like this new recruit. Either way, this coaching staff will make use of his talents and our needs.

I didn’t even see his defensive highlights until you posted this, but I can see it as well.

Just my hunch that I think this kid will be a good one. I can at least be a homer on a Pitt message board, right?

There are 6 classifications in Virginia High School football and Lake Taylor (Newton's team) won the 4A State Championship last season 34-14.

He isn't a speedster but looks faster then 4.8-4.9 to me, gets through the hole really quickly, hard to bring down, and when he gets caught from behind it's often 30-60 yards downfield ...... agree he looks good on defense also and could potentially play on either side of the ball ..... if on defense, agree a linebacker.

“He’s a big kid with unbelievable speed and power, and can score anytime he touches it," Sawyer said. "And he allows you to keep pressure on the opposing team’s defense.”

Whether he was ultimately recruited as a RB or LB, he was also recruited & offered by the Defensive Coordinator of the #1 defense in the country (Clemson's Brent Venables).

Looking at his offer sheet, seeing that the kid is already 223lbs, I am calling it now. This is the kid, this is the turn around. He is gonna be a load, the type of guy that lineman love to block for. Defenses will have to commit to stopping him lest he give you a beat down, by 3.5 yards at first, then 4.5, then 5-6, and by the last 10 minutes of the game 7 yards a clip. Pitt's defense gets plenty of rest with this guy....

Right!

Good read on Pitt's backfield to be.

If he has a legit offer from Clemson, not some camp or "interest" offer from Clemson. Then he is really legit. I've been through the Clemson recruiting process and outside of Stanford there is no more thorough process. Except for the top 2-3%, they will not offer based upon game film alone. For everyone else, you must camp there and its as much as a tryout as it is an evaluation. They coach you very hard at the invite only camps. They will see who will break many times.

Usually a Clemson offer proceeds with a Bama, Georgia, Oklahoma, LSU, etc type offer but not always the other way around.

The net they cast is tiny compared to the rest of CFB.

Right!
Hopefully he eliminates those silly sideline passes from Whipple on the 3rd and 1 calls.
