Ped State riots over football

Agree, well said, I won't be back until Wednesday or Thursday, too bad a few PSU Students celebrated over the Win that caused damages and injuries?

We had many great PSU Alum Posters on the Lair that came over and talked CFB. Hope that continues but I hope Pitt fans never do the same after winning any game.

The Universities are places of learning and sharing, winning a football game is great, but athletics was created to increase the academic brain with healthy activity this is not an example of it?

The Penn State 2012 Reforms brought Honor Athletic Integrity to Penn State University looks like this one success of a win, made it go away and they won't get it back until they stop such behavior?

All due respect....**** THEM!

This weeks riots at Ped State cost around $18K in damage?
The November riots in 2011 over Paturdo being fired cost $190K.

The "Football First and Only" mentality has been lessened! (?)
And their have been no REPORTED cases of child molestations by the coaching staff in years!
This is true progress.

Remember the Pitt riots?? Oh you dont... oh yes, that is because we are civilized human beings that dont worship one paturdo.

not to stick up for tickle monster U but $18k in damages doesn't sound too bad.. That's a typical Saturday night in the south side..

Yes but it's 18k in pleasantville.... safe wonderful bucolic land where blueberry flavored snow ones fly from unicorns backsides....

Oh really? That's plain stupid. And this article didn't mention the much worse riots over the firing over a football coach in which a media van was turned over on it's side. Or the two riots in different years during an arts festival.

This person makes a great point on how the media views events like those in lily white Happy Valley vis a vis blacks protesting cops killing innocent and unarmed blacks.

And let a football player kneel instead of stand during the National Anthem and the media and conservative America goes lights out.

I took part in numerous pitt riots over the my 4 years there when the steelers won the super bowl and when Pitt beat wvu 13-9. Stop acting like college kids are any different in psu vs. anywhere else

can you cite where $180,000, let alone $18,000 in damage was done after the 13-9 win? Not tracking on the Steelers wins since that was likely not PITT students. Even then, I don't remember hearing/seeing anything close to the riots reported in HV.

Riots aren't new to State College. It never took much to start one. Especially in Beaver Canyon. They flipped a car over one night because someone stopped a couple from having intercourse in front of a low window in one of the apartments.

Arts Fest has gotten bad at night over the last twenty years. They literally try to clear the streets starting around 1:30 AM.

Honestly, if there's a big late game like Saturday night, they pretty much plan on it as a possibility. You want evidence? The State Police don't haul around those horses unless they have to and it's getting more and more common to see them.
