Rain in the morning Thursday. It never rains during PITT home games.Unfortunately it may be raining for 2 straight days. Fingers crossed forecast changes. We need a FULL house with a rocking student section.
This will be good test for all the "win and they'll come" posters
Where the hell do you work?I would love to...but I work 6am-2pm then come back in 8 hours later to work 10-6am
If every one of us who posts on this board gets two people to go, then we can get an additional 10 kNo way we get more than 35k on a Thursday night.
I was at the Navy game, cold and started to rain. The U Conn game the weather was not fit to play in let alone sit in the seats, cold and rain that turned to sleet. Ray Graham blew out his knee in that game. I knew looking at the crowd that the Fraud was not long for PITT.A Thursday night game? Not really, unless you mean to compare the crowd size to the size of the crowds we've had for some of our other weeknight games. For instance the 20,000 we jammed in their for the Navy game or the 15,000 we squashed into the place for the UConn game.
Notre Dame game should be packed, even though I believe there are still a good bit of tickets remaining.
Pretty sad. Every year they've come to Heinz it's been a good crowd. I'd think this year should be one of the best attended, but looking bleak so far. Many thousands at this point.
Have faith. The crowd will be great.Pretty sad. Every year they've come to Heinz it's been a good crowd. I'd think this year should be one of the best attended, but looking bleak so far.
I will be there as I'd guess most on here will. I'm hoping to see a lot of Pitt fans, the Irish fans are usually a nice bunch, but can get rather annoying.Have faith. The crowd will be great.

Great point. I've met a lot of really great Notre Dame fans at Heinz Field. The people with Irish accents that dress like leprechauns I can't even take seriously when they say anything about football.Notre Dame fans that actually went to Notre Dame are generally great. Notre Dame fans who couldn't locate South Bend on a map to save their lives are generally, well, let's just say not and leave it at that.

You do know that Pitt is playing North Carolina this week not Notre Dame right?I will be there as I'd guess most on here will. I'm hoping to see a lot of Pitt fans, the Irish fans are usually a nice bunch, but can get rather annoying.
That ND game the following week could be a big one for both teams.Bring somebody extra!
stubhub has this same package for about $75...sorry 'bout that...unfortunately will not be able to attend UNC game this week as I live in Philly. Will sell three seats with parking pass section 135 ( 45 yard line) home side row BB for $150 for package and getting seats on time. If interested email me at spitdoc@aol.com
i expect an average turnout for non students but I'm hoping and expecting that the students show up big time and create a good environment for the team. I'm going to say 45k but students making up a heavier proportion of that total than usual. But maybe I'm wrong and I'll be overwhelmed by the attendance for Thursday night? I hope so but experience has taught me to temper expectations. This team needs a few years of exceeding expectations before it truly starts to expand the fan base.
Agreed. If this game was being played on a Saturday then I think we get 50k, Thursday nights for most Steeler games don't even fill ip(at least from what my eyes can see from TV) keep winning and the fan base will slowly grow for Pitt.Right I think it'll be like homecoming, a big student turnout with a weak turnout from the regulars.
