It would be interesting if all of a sudden he started landing higher level recruits. Then we know it was JD holding him back.As much as I want Knight to stay, he needs to leave at some point to advance his career, IMO.

This narrative holds no water to me.It would be interesting if all of a sudden he started landing higher level recruits. Then we know it was JD holding him back.

Why wouldn't Dixon or any coach want as much talent as possible?
Do u think Khem Birch came to Pitt because of Dixon? How about Manigault this year?In basketball, head coaches land recruits more than assistants. In football you have 25 recruits per year, so assistants have more impact, but in basketball, you only have 3-4 per year. So while assistants build relationships, players commit to head coaches, not assistants.

So Dixon wasn't holding back on those?Do u think Khem Birch came to Pitt because of Dixon? How about Manigault this year?
He is working under another coach, and Howland raved about Stallings so if BK values his opinion and he likes living here then I would not be surprised.I would be shocked if Knight stayed.
Those guys, along with many others came here because of their relationship with the assistant coach. I get it - you are mad at the hire and want to argue. I am in no mood to get into a pissing match. So Dixon wasn't holding back on those?
I can't keep up

I'm only pointing out you are taking both positions at once. Those guys, along with many others came here because of their relationship with the assistant coach. I get it - you are mad at the hire and want to argue. I am in no mood to get into a pissing match.
Actually staying here under a different HC is like leaving to go to another program without having to uproot himself from PittsburghAs much as I want Knight to stay, he needs to leave at some point to advance his career, IMO.
He might have to swallow a demotion. BK is nothing, if not ultra-competitive. If it's just a move by Stallings to keep the roster intact, he might get bounced next year. Tough decision for him.Actually staying here under a different HC is like leaving to go to another program without having to uproot himself from Pittsburgh
The only reason to keep BK is to retain the two recruits.I mean, I assume Knight sticks around if given a reasonable boost from his current pay. You know, sweeten the pot. Regardless, seems a bit odd. I assumed Stallings would simply bring in a new staff.
