Perception of Pitt Basketball Program

The biggest take away I got from Peaks article is that some highly respected college basketball coaches and media think highly of Pitt Basketball. Jay Wright again talked up Pitt and Raftery/Davis also made mention of Pitt being a top program.

Hopefully after this hire those of you who are constantly negative can keep your annoying pessimism to yourselves.

Pitt proved it could be a top program in the best conference in basketball. It hasn't transitioned well to the ACC, but all of the ingredients are there to be a team on everyone's radar every year.

Why wouldn’t Wright say that? Pitt had a much better record than him during concurrent Big East years.

There are too many nitters in this town for us to be perceived well. Yet they had a child sexual predator roam their campus and the boys shelters for 30 years and the Football coach/ mafia don covered it up, but two Rose bowls and voila!!!!! All is forgotten.
