It has been a few years since I have taken in a game at the pete. We are in town for thanksgiving and are hitting the Saturday Kent state game. I have parked behind trees on the back hill before and also soldiers and sailors ando took a bus up. Where do you guys suggest to park these days. Thanks

I like parking on Meyran. There are two garages right across from each other and I make sure we walk by Peter’s Pub on the way for a cold one.

I will have my little one in tow. Prefer not to walk hill if possible. I assume the cost center lot (if that is what it is called these days is presold for season tickets?)

There is a good garage two streets down once you pass the one that goes up to the Pete. They have a shuttle and I think it's $10

The Cost Center is NOT pre-sold. It is available for game day parking. Soldiers and Sailors has a shuttle too.

Cardiac Hill is NOT a joke. When I was a student, walking up the Hill to one of my first Spring Football games, I had the misfortune to watch one of the player's fathers die from a heart attack right outside the main entrance to old Pitt Stadium. First person I ever saw die and it made a huge impression on me.

I'm probably older now than he was and I'm very aware that my mortality is out there and getting closer all the time. I avoid walking the hill whenever possible. When I do have to walk it, I make sure I have plenty of time and set a comfortable pace.

The Ohara garage should be open for non-prepaid. parkers. As you come up Cardiac Hill from Fifth Avenue, turn right onto Ohara Street....at the light. The garage is about 100 yards on the left. $10.00. Come out of the garage, you'll see a spot for the shuttle (Geezer bus) Hop on that, it takes you right up to the Pete. After the game, just walk down the hill to Ohara. Much easier than climbing up the hill to the OC or Cost lots. We've been doing that for a few years. Shouldn't be too crowded. After the game, drive thru town...Lightup Night. Pretty cool.

I hear you about Peter's. Stopped there for close to 40 years before every game. I park in Presby garage now as I just can't walk good ol' Cardiac anymore. I miss it and am leaving it to the young uns now..
