Is showing that against a good secondary he can't get it done. Similar theme to last year where he is efficient, but can not make the plays to win a game. Big reason we scored 3 or less points last year and lost to navy, Miami, UNC, and Norte dame. Defense kept us in it until the 4th.

You know what, I hit the send button and he took them down the field. I effectively put my foot in my mouth. He showed up and proved me wrong right there.

Once Peterman and Ford started getting in sync again, Peterman looked much better. PITT will definitely need that to continue the rest of the season if they want a winning record.

Nate played a nice game, took care of the ball, put it on target when receivers were open.
I wouldn't go so far as to say he took care of the ball. 1 INT and very lucky the two fumbles were recovered by PITT. I do like that the staff and Peterman are showing more confidence in the receivers.

I wish he was back next season. He's a slightly above average college QB who probably won't win you any games by himself, but he's not going to lose them for you either.

He will almost undoubtedly be better this year than whoever we see is next year.

I'd agree, I think there will be times when we look back and wish we had Nate. And it's likely going to be in the early half of next year, like when we play in Happy Valley. He's been good this year. He's not deserving of the crap he gets here after some of the QB play we've witnessed since Palko graduated.

His best attribute in my opinion is the ability to improvise, seems to know when to take off and run quicker than any QB we've had in years.

If Schneider opens at QB next year I think we are in big trouble. That means that MacVittie with a year and a half in the system isn't ready to play, which raises doubts as to whether he will ever be a big time player.

I'm hoping camp is pretty much a formality and MacVittie is the obvious opening day starter.

MacVittie started what, 4 or 5 games in HS? You people thinking he is the 2nd coming are ridiculous. He sat behind a MAC QB at Moeller and you think he's going to be a 4 year starter at Pitt after barely playing QB in HS.

Wait a minute now, there have been some incredibly gifted QBs that made their way through the MAC.

yep another 35+ point effort (in three quarters) loss and its Peterman's fault.
