I saw the Alumni association is doing a party at one of the bars but was wondering if anyone has any tailgating planned. We found a parking service and from what we read online the harlem river north lot is pretty good for tailgating and a pass is 25 bucks. Was wondering if anyone had plans or advice, maybe we can get a couple groups together and take over a lot. H2P

At which bar is the Alumni congregating?

Yes you can walk in .The alumni event is isolated to the second floor. The first floor is not restricted.
The point was that you can't walk in to the alumni event... which is what the user was asking about.

I don't think anyone said anything regarding just walking in, as in not having to register or pay to get in. I referenced it and then asked about tailgating and other user just asked for info on it. To be clear, to go to the official Pitt alumni party you must pay 35 beforehand or if they still have tickets 45 at the door for 2 free beers or soda and food. You can however pay nothing and still go to that bar, just can't go into the private pitt alumni party.

Called yankee stadium and we will be at the Harlem north shore lot. It's 25 bucks and it opens 5 hours before and closes 2 hours after. No open flames so no grilling but tailgating is permitted. I'd rather eat cold food than drop 100 bucks on overpriced beers for the couple hours we plan on being down there before the game. Anyone else interested in tailgating post and maybe we can get a big group together.

There are several bars down there outside Yankee Stadium...

Billy's that is holding the alumni event is huge (a former theater). Apparently 1000 alumni signed up for that event which is held on the 2nd floor. And the downstair part can probably hold 3 times that amount.

We are likely going to swing by there, as well as Stan's Sports Bar and The Dugout.

One of my buddies that is an admin on Pitt Panthers Fanatics group on Facebook is looking into maybe having a meeting spot at one of those bars. The owner of Stan's told him he will work on drink specials and will have his wait staff wear throwback Marino jerseys. Not sure if he was kidding or not lol.
