Press Conference in an hour.

Seems likely either to be 1) Some sort of self imposed sanctions, or 2) Pitino stepping down, possibly at the end of the season.

University President and AD will be there with Pitino

hmmmm

If it's a post-season ban for this year, you gotta feel for the grad transfers that chose Louisville over a ton of offers from likely NCAAT teams (including Pitt).

It's most likely two things a self imposed sanction for this season and Pitino has an exit plan to leave . Lots of rumors that he didn't want to fight the NCAA and believes this is the best way out. Pitino JR may be in some trouble at Minnesota look for him to bail and take another job at a smaller conference.

That's what they get for buying into a guy like Pitino. He should of already resigned, he got caught and needs to be a man and step away. Hopefully the NCAA doesn't let Louisville slide and hammers them with sanctions.

Well, KFC just did undergo a major overhaul on upgrading their store layouts and added some things to their menu. They even brought in Norm McDonald to resurrect Col Sanders.

Maybe they are rolling out new uniforms advertising the Nashville Spicy chicken.. Colonel Sanders new mascot.

That's great news for our tournament chances but pretty lousy news for a guy like Damion Lee.

The AD is supporting Pitino. Louisville deserves all the worst to happen in that athletic department.

Their AD has to be the most detached, simple AD in the country.

He literally said, "We just found out yesterday that we do have a problem". They had problems the minute Pitino and Petrino put pen to paper. They're only just now biting you in this situation. A leopard doesn't change his spots, and both of those coaches' spots are pretty well established.

Is there another college in the country that has such a despicable set of head coaches in the 2 most visible sports?

I hope the NCAA is not impressed with this self-imposed sanction. Maybe they could consider raping boys in a locker room the actions of a sick individual rather than a lack of institutional control,
but if using prostitution to attract recruits doesn't meet the definition I can't imagine what would.

Trying to do what syracuse is doing...get out ahead of it. Its unreal the ncaa hasnt moved on this and unc.

This does help our tourney chances at the expense of innocent players

I read stuff like this and I always have to sit back and think about guys like Pitt79 (I think - or is it PittPoker?) who are super vocal about doing absolutely anything to win.

Yeah, stuff like this doesn't erase memories of a great tourney run, but at least for me, it would absolutely taint my view of the university.

You should listen to Pitino talk about this. Self Pity at its worst. I loathe the man.

The kids knowingly picked a corrupt program. I don't feel bad for them at all. Id feel bad for the spot in the tourny this program would have taken over a program that deserves it. Its not like they picked UVA or Stanford here.

The President of the university will be the one with the pressure on him. That alumni and fan base won't stand for Pitino getting fired over this. The President probably loathes Pitino as a dispicable human being but his ass is on the line without Ricky P on the bench.

Then again, this is an academic institution that educates people as a primary mission. This scandal is about hookers on campus entertaining recruits. It's the absolute worst in my opinion.

The AD is a bum also. The three of them should all disappear into retirement

Pitino may be the biggest scumbag ever.

Amazing how quick ncaa penalizes cuse and uconn but dragging on ville and unc.

The 2 grad transfers are the real losers - maybe the only real losers - in this scenario. They went to 'Ville as their only chance to play in the tournament, and now that is gone. Without knowing all of the details, it looks like the Louisville administration made this move now because it's only impact would be on the 2016 post-season. Incoming recruits will not be effected - only the players on the current roster. They get punished, Pitino and the rest get off.

people always joke about schools paying Hookers to get players. Louisville was literally paying hookers. Pitino somehow feels he got screwed if all they get is one a year postseason ban??? The only ones screwed are the players. Well, the ones that didn't get the hookers.

Didn't they visit the school prior to committing? I'm sure that they were given some sort of special treatment as well on their visits. Doubt they just went to church.

Most of the Louisville fans are upset because their 2 graduate transfers came over hoping to play in the NCAAT and now won't get a chance. But not all feel that way. Here's a great quote from a fan base that only cares about winning: "The question going further is how much time should these guys get considering they are seniors. Don't we need to play the freshmen for their development and possibly next year?"

And to think, there are many here - albeit more so on the football board - who sang the praises of Tom Jurich daily.

Oh yeah, it would have been just terrible if they just played their 5th year at Cleveland State and Drexel, where they played their previous 4. The horror!
