Pitt -1.5 vs. Notre Dame today.

One way or another, this game won't be that close. We're either going to win or lose by double digits. If ND is cold from 3, it's a win for us.

Gotta go with ND here. Teams are shooting like 60% from 3 vs us in the 1st Half and we are 16th in the ACC from 3 point defense. I think ND gets right and lights it up from 3. We have to hope our offense can outscore them.

ND 80
Pitt 74

Need to score over 75 today given our defensive liabilities and ND always shooting well against us there

Pitt has only scored over 75 on the road once in conference - at Syracuse - in one of the two road wins. Scoring on the road in conference games has been a big weak spot.

Hard to predict this one, and Pitt in general (other than our slow starts), after Shrewsbury absolutely flipped his lid this week on the team, press and fans.

This is one of those games that if we could really jump on them early they might quit and we coast to an easy win.

Of course I wouldn't bet on us coming out and really jumping on the Avonworth pee wee team if we were playing them in a halftime game, so there is that.

I was wrong about this. But it doesn't make a difference. We had to win this game to have a chance to keep our bubble hopes alive. I would like to know where we can find 6 or 7 more wins.

That’s the sign of a coach who still has buy-in from his teams. He called them out during the week and they responded by pulling off the upset at home.

I feel like Capel could pull off something like that early in his tenure, or even last year. Not sure what’s happened, but this program has completely fallen off the guardrails.

Certainly the program has been on a slippery slope throughout. Things go best when leadership comes from players that transfer in it seems.
I am not a fan of Capel. But I don't believe Capel would really approach it in that way, just not his style. He has always been more of "We have to..." type and that is his way of publicly letting his team know and that is fine, IMO.

To be fair, you only think that because you don't know what you are talking about.

Pitt will be favored by probably 6 or 7.

Yea, that's what it will be. But I don't see how Pitt wins. Baye Ndongo is a monster on the glass. This is a guy we should break the bank for in the portal but he can name his school. He has 44 rebounds in the last 3 games.

This is very true, and you make a good point about the different styles each coach has. Perhaps I was being too harsh.

Well I certainly wouldn't bet on us at those odds. But it will be something in that range.

Poor baby. You don't like when people have opinions? So thin-skinned. LOL!

Going by the FACT that Pitt is regressing and can't rebound or play defense, Pitt should be an underdog. Yes, the morons will have them favored just because of home court, where we have no advantage. With GT's massive rebounding edge, I don't see us getting within 10 points of GT at the end. Now they'll go out and beat GT by 25. LOL! Go figure.

You do realize that we just lost to one of the worst teams in the ACC? And you somehow think the remaining games will be any different for some odd reason? What's the definition of insanity?

Maybe Capel needs to make his team watch how St. John's plays defense. Granted, Pitino is a Hall of Fame coach and light years better than Capel. But if the kids on this Pitt team have any measure of talent, they could learn a lot from watching St. John's.

I miss the Big East.

It is amazing that someone can't differentiate between something bothering someone and that person laughing at someone who posted something stupid on an internet board.

It's got to be one heck of a way to go through life if you have that problem in the real world too.

I should say, however, that I actually kind of love it when someone posts something that dumb on the internet. It's fun to get a laugh at other people's expense. So you keep being you, and I'll keep laughing.

According to ESPN, Pitt is favored by 8.5. Strange team, is GT. They recently beat Louisville and Clemson, but lost to Virginia and BC.

I'll admit when I'm wrong. I thought GT would beat us by 4. Turns out it was a bit more than 4. And no, I don't get a bit of joy from that at all, other than laughing at your sorry ass.

Run along, junior.

The fact that Georgia Tech beat us has nothing at all, literally nothing at all, to do with who was going to be favored and by how much.

Are you really so dumb that you don't understand that?

Wait, no, don't answer that. We all know the answer.

Maybe it's because people who are oddsmakers aren't even as smart as some message board poster. We know reality. You don't.

But keep making excuses for your stupidity. You're the board jackass.

Only someone as dumb as you could crow about posting something that wasn't just wrong, it wasn't even close to being right.
