Per the fine folks at Circa Las Vegas, slightly lower offshore. I had expected somewhere in the 8.5-9 range so its a little high in my opinion, thinking we see another close game here.

Pitt won't score 20. The question is how many can Miami score. I'd say 27-13

I was thinking along the lines of a 27-20 type game.

You also have to figure in that Miami heard all last week how they were back and then laid an absolute egg on national TV against the number 1 team in front of the entire country. There is no way they are going to be emotionally prepared against a so so Pitt team the following week. Manny Diaz not a great coach, not so sure he will have his players ready right out of the gate.

Miami’s starting safety is out for the 1st half. It would be nice to have an injury report.

Pitt has faced depleted secondaries. Pitt makes no effort to take advantage of it.

Opponents seek mismatches and keep going after them when they find them. Pitt?

Just about right in my opinion. Think miami wins but wouldn't stun me if it's a close game, but also wouldn't surprise me if they run us out of the building. I wouldn't bet this one either way

Miami has historically owned us and I can only recall beating them once at their place. That was under PC and they were pretty much checked out.

I would actually be somewhat positive if we played a good clean game for 60 minutes and lost a close one in which we didn’t suffer any significant injuries. I think it is more likely that we lose big.

Who is using Louisville as a reason we can hang with Miami? Louisville sucks, and the vile receivers were wide open in the 2nd half but their qb sucks.

Pitt lost to a much worse Miami team and will get boat raced this week.

Make it 2 times for me, Paul Martha and Pitt beat the Canes in a second half downpour about 60 years ago or so, game was Nat’l TV on that day.

It will be higher as the reality of Pickett not playing increases....

And the wide receivers still have a hard time getting open.

Pickett,

1) Is banged up and likely will play but not at 100%

2) Has no OL to protect him against a typically athletic Miami defense

3) Has no running back to get tough yards

4) has no TE to open up the middle of the field

5) Has no ability to scramble against a fast Defense like Miami

All Pickett has......are wide receivers that drop too many balls

and some of you are taking Pitt and the points?

Pay board seems to think Pickett is a no-go. I jumped on Miami at -9.5

I took Miami -9.5 figuring Pickett would play. I just put some more down on them with the likelihood of him not playing or being less than 100%. I don’t like betting on Pitt because the losses still sting, but I’ve come to the conclusion that making some money will take some of the sting away. I knew the NC St line was too high, but let my fandom get in the way and didn’t bet.

Remember the offense could do nothing two years ago in Miami because the O-line was banged up?

Two years later the line appears just as bad. Miami was so mediocre that year and is much better now.

This one will get ugly. Thanks again for this revised schedule, ACC. Two middle fingers from me but Pitt is just thankful for the checks so it just takes the hits and keeps quiet.

I could have seen us coming together for a gutsy effort if Pickett was healthy and we got a few guys back from injury, etc. But now I might be leaning toward this being the game that throws this season completely off the rails. I'm not super high on Miami or anything... but I'm afraid we might just throw in the towel.

Unfortunately - that is how I see it as well. I hope a big bowl of crow is shoved down my throat, but I just don’t see it happening unless Miami has a bunch of guys that have to sit out.
