Pitt +15

I would think a possible mitigating factor could be the suspicion that Duke’s players and coaching staff may be looking ahead a little to Coach K’s emotional final home game Saturday against UNC.

Definitely may be some truth to that, but the talent disparity is so large they could still cover that number even if they come out a little flat.

Sadly, I think that’s a fair spread. I don’t expect K to run it up on a member of the Duke family, but this could well be out of hand by the time he calls off the dogs. This feels like a game where they get up big early, we claw back a bit to make it somewhat interesting before they put it away late. I’ve resigned myself to 1 more year of this staff, so hopefully my prediction is wrong and we get one of those nights where we play over our heads and send K out of town with a loss.

I think Duke crushes Pitt because of Ks perception of how the fans and local media are treating his Jeff. Who knows or cares. K is shooting for a one seed so he is not taking it easy on Capel nor choosing to run it up. Their talent is far superior to UNCs so this game is a no brainer. Take Duke giving the points.

We are 15 point dogs at home, where The Pete offers absolutely 0 home court advantage anymore, this is Pitt hoops, this is who we are now, just kill me

If he thinks Pitt fans and the local media are treating Capel poorly his team kicking the crap out of Capel's team surely isn't going to make that any better.

Agree. Also, he didn't take it easy on his good buddy Cryheim over the weekend. Didn't pull his starters until just over a minute to go in the game.
