Every poll basically mimics every other poll; we might as well just have one, period. There is very little original thought among any of the groups of pollsters.
I wish pollsters would be dropped and added based on how well they predict future success. Example: ND was voted #1 at the end of the regular season a couple years ago despite Vegas picking Bama to smash them by 10 in the National Championship game, and it was way more lopsided than that. Every fan and bookmaker knew before the game that Bama >> ND, except for the pollsters. Huh? Drop any of the clowns who are still making picks in October based on the preseason polls (ex: Ohio State has in no way proven they're a top-5 team), and make them earn the right to rank teams.
