Still a lack of depth and injuries could hurt final results and some unknowns, but if Connor returns could be a Division Winner?
PITT-Virginia Game Day Prediction:
This game always frighten me because it is usually close? Virginia has played against far tougher teams than Pitt against UCLA, ND, and Boise and have had 2 weeks to prepare for Pitt with nothing to lose? They have the Defense that can stop Boyd, Ollison and rush Peterman. Yet, Pitt has the Defense that will surprise Virginia too, no matter how much they have prepared, because it comes down to exquisite execution. Pitt Players are now Disciples of Coach Pat & Staff embracing the "Can=Nuzz Attitude" with diligent discipline to execute Game Plans and will be the difference in this game. Pitt cannot underestimate anyone this year and they won’t against Virginia and they will win this game. If Chad Voytik and Jordan Whitehead plays much more on offense Pitt can win even bigger, but Peterman is due for an impressive game? There is no reason why Voytik can be put in with Peterman for some screens and slot passes razzle dazzle too.

Well, it was close just as predicted, and of 2 halves in spite of Pitt having another 3 TDs had they not been fumbled and dropped. In the end, the Statistics were as even as they could get between both teams. PITT Offense woke up in the 1st Quarter but was put on snooze again. The Tight Ends wide open, Running Backs running straight, and Oh Boyd did the job catching the very tough winning TD. Once Pitt plays Whitehead on Offense or finds another Wide Out to compliment Boyd and the Pitt's 2 tight ends, the offense will just be even better. QB Peterman passes were sharp, smooth, and on target showing Coach Chaney knows his offense. The Offensive Players could have been better at Execution and Protecting and Catching the ball. The Defense was all over the field at times covering, sacking, pressuring, but still had a few big bust big plays giveaways, but they never broke near the end again. The difference from last year is these Panthers will now gives the other Players many Big Smack Hits, and don't Quit! They finish every play and game too. The Coaching Staff is coming into its own on all 3 Units. The Special Teams blocked an Extra Point! Virginia's Coach London does not need to be fired in my opinion. His Team came ready to play and never quit either. Now comes the real test for Pitt at Georgia Tech. It is this game against Coach Johnson's Yellow Jackets that will define Coach Narduzzi's coaching and portend Pitt Season, Just A Hunch! I missed the PITT-Uva score by 2 Points for Pitt and 4 for Virginia for a Grade A-!

Tough game, let me say it again, this will be a very tough game. London has at least 6 players on Defense that will play on Sunday in the NFL. The defense will be hard to beat just like last year. The entire Virginia Offense is back but they will have problems at QB. Special Teams may be the difference and I will favor Pitt on that outcome by a squeaker? The Pitt Defense should be playing better by now, but injuries could be killing Pitt by this time too?
