CNBC ranked the 75 most valuable college athletic programs. Schools had to participate in FBS. As a conference, no surprise the ACC came in 3rd, in front of the Big 12 by a relatively large margin.
Also heard in an interview on CNBC, that may have been mentioned on this board earlier, that private equity is indeed looking to purchase a 49% minority in a couple of FBS teams. The schools involved were not mentioned.
