Casey Rogers graduated from high school in Syracuse last spring, but his football recruitment wasn’t where he wanted it to be. So he decided to do a prep year at Avon Old Farms in Connecticut, and the plan seems to have worked.
“It really started to take off when Vanderbilt offered in early December and things exploded from there,” Rogers told Panther-Lair.com. “And that’s an understatement. It really seems like there are two or three new offers per week, and it’s a blessing.
“It’s just a really crazy process. The whole reason I went to prep school was to get more exposure in recruiting, and now that we’re seeing the plan come together, it’s just great to see how everything worked out.”
Vanderbilt’s offer was the first in a run of 11 offers - a run that most recently included Pitt. The Panthers offered Rogers on Saturday.
