Pitt at BC - Moved to Sunday

This is just a guess on my part, but unless it moved again it's most likely going to be a ACCNX game.Because all the slots on ACCN Sunday are Women's games.

Usually they've only been showing three games back to back to back on Sundays, but this week they actually have four games scheduled, at noon (our game at Syracuse), 2:00, 4:00 and 6:00.

I suspect they may not even be able to play Sunday at 4 PM unless the Pitt team is already in a Boston Hotel. Someone posted that they hadn't left Pittsburgh.

Current Boston storm forecast is for storm to end at about 5 AM Sunday after dumping 18-24 inches (with 30" in spots) coupled with 70 MPH wins. I woudn't be surprised if Logan airport remains closed all day Sunday due to drifting snow.

Just my sense having experienced a similar size and type northeast blizzard in Queens, NY in my high school days (17 inches snow and similar high winds). Snow drifts made streets impassible for a couple of days. Snow in Manhattan was trucked to the river and dumped in--too much to plow to side of roads.

Hope I am wrong and we get a game --and a nice Pitt win!

I doubt this game is played in the next couple of days, due to weather conditions. Even if Pitt is already there, it may be difficult to impossible to get to the arena.

Yeah no way this game is played. But I wish we could get any confirmation if the Pitt team is in Boston or not.

That's what I said in the other thread. If Pitt is in Boston then they will probably play, maybe even on Monday. If Pitt isn't in Boston then they surely aren't flying up there today and they probably aren't flying up there tomorrow, so they will have to look for some other day to play.

Agree!

FWIW, the Boston College web site put up a story sometime today titled "BC Hosts Pittsburgh in Post-Blizzard Matchup on Sunday".

It would be really odd for them to do that if they didn't think that they were going to be able to play tomorrow afternoon.

It looks tomorrow, Noon on Monday, or 2/7 are the only possible dates that could work for both teams.

I wish they'd pre-empt the women's games. Do they load up with women's games on Sundays because they know the people watching men's basketball on Saturday, will be watching NFL on Sunday, and they think the diehard women's basketball fans are people less likely to watch NFL?
