Pitt at The NFL Draft

Conner wanted a sub 4.6 I saw on interviews and did so in training, so I am sure he is alittle upset, but Leveon Bell ran a 4.60.

His shuttle run will be big.

Interesting to note, Shell, ran a 4.75 and a 4.81. Pretty pedestrian. I guess his 'training' regiment isnt as strict

Conner offers position flexibility. He can play TB, FB, H-Back. RS is the equivalent to Ray Kirkley.

-All these players are big. Logan just ran a 4.37 40, and Williams a 4.41, and Cohen a 4.42. The three fastest RB's to date are from North Carolina, Utah, and North Carolina A&T blowing the doors off

-Only idiots think Alabama gets speed. Watch Henderson and Weah destroy it in the 40 when they get their chance.

When u add a bunch of weight and muscle you usually slow down, the ones that keep their speed go very high in the draft

Are you questioning the fact that Pitt is "Lightening Fast Super Pure Elite Speed University?"

High octane baby

Nah - these guys and/or their coaches just fudge their numbers in HS. Guys that get good S&C and work hard in college improve their times. Not the other way around.

Agree there. Most everyone not on the pot diet that ole rushel had gets faster by packing on athleticism. He isnt a lineman that gained 60 lbs of weight... he is a running back

I think with the combine he has he could be second round pick now.

Man I hope Pres!!! The only thing is Adam had some rough moments down south at Senior Bowl. The kid is such a great kid! He has Pitt in his blood!!! He is such a Pitt kid and has been since he was 7 years old going to games with my kid. I'm praying he ends up east of Chicago.

Only Mccafery so far of the RB's has really ran well, cook Ran a 4.52
Unfortunately, McCaf is like Penn State Running Backs that go to NFL, they are not tough enough, and usually Injury Prone. Stanford's McCaf won't have the Behavior Issues like Curtis Enis or Larry Johnson proved to have that shorten their careers too in the NFL.

Example By Link To Think To Prevent NFL Stink When Choosing Penn State:

Article, Excerpt & Link:
Friday Five: Greatest college football running backs to fizzle out in the NFL

Just like with quarterbacks, being great in college doesn't mean a running back will be a great pro:
Every Friday, the Friday Five will rank something in the world of college football -- anything and everything from the logical to the illogical. This week, we rank the five running backs who were great in college but couldn’t carry that success to the NFL.
5. Ron Dayne, Wisconsin

4. CURTIS ENIS, PENN STATE: In the interest of full disclosure, being a fan of the Chicago Bears (no, I don’t know why I would be, either), this one could be a bit personal for me. You see, Curtis Enis had a solid career at Penn State, though I don’t think many would call it spectacular. While he was a consensus All-American in 1997, he was never a Heisman finalist, nor did he win any major awards. This was not Enis’ fault, however, as he happened to be playing at Penn State at the same time as guys named Ron Dayne and Ricky Williams were running the ball at Wisconsin and Texas. Enis had a very good career, though, as he compiled 3,079 total yards and 38 touchdowns over his final two seasons at Penn State. His mixture of size and speed made him an enticing enough draft prospect that the Bears took him with the fifth pick of the 1998 draft, just after guys like Peyton Manning and Charles Woodson, and ahead of guys like Fred Taylor and -- the biggest heartbreaker of all for this Bears fan -- Randy Moss.
It was a bad pick!
Enis only played in nine games as a rookie, rushing for 497 yards without any touchdowns on 133 carries. The next season, he rushed for 916 yards, which would seem promising if not for the fact he needed 287 carries (3.2 yards per) to get there, and only managed three touchdowns. Enis would then receive only 36 carries in 12 games in his third and final season in the NFL.

3. Toby Gerhart, Stanford:
2. Montee Ball, Wisconsin:
1. Archie Griffin, Ohio State

Penn State has more NFL Bust than any other Power Five Conference Programs!

Unlike Joseph Vincent Paterno's churning out the most Penn State Players NFL Draft Busts.......strange but absolutely true.......Maybe Franklin can change that, but even King James is keeping that Penn State Tradition so far. As Penn State Alum WR Allen Robinson is looking like another NFL Bust again!

Unfortunately this is Penn State's Embarrassing Tradition just like Penn State's Lack of Institutional Control with No Athletic Integrity as verified by $60 & $2.4 Million Fines prove it.

History shows that Penn State Players just lack Personal & Professional Discipline under Paterno and it later shows up in the NFL. Makes one wonder if Success With Your Honor proved to be a slogan, not anything to be proud of during Penn State Football Program Error!
Excerpts:
Inside the Game:

Jaguars WR Allen Robinson looking nothing like last season What happened to the star that caught 80 passes for 1,400 yards and a franchise-record 14 touchdowns last season?

Jaguars receiver Allen Robinson was still sitting at his locker long after his teammates had showered, dressed and left the facility.
His emotions were easy to read following Sunday’s 33-16 loss to Oakland at EverBank Field. Robinson caught two passes for 9 yards on eight targets. He dropped three passes.........Robinson’s third season has gone way off track through six games. He doesn’t lead the team in catches and is third in yardage.......but Robinson’s drops aren’t anyone’s fault but his own.......Robinson dropped a touchdown in last week’s 17-16 win at Chicago that turned into an interception......So, I’ve got to figure out a way to get this thing going. I’m anxious to make a play and I need to keep calm. I need to make the play when my number is called.”......The NFL’s defensive minds studied the Jaguars young, emerging offense in the offseason result.....Robinson has three touchdown catches this season. They have totaled 17 yards.......But, make no mistake. Robinson’s drops are a problem that has to stop now. He has six now on the season......“I don’t know why it happened – I know there are times when it can happen to a receiver. I’m not going to sit here and say it’s because he’s pressing – I don’t know that....(I Do....Allen Robinson Made The Mistake Of Choosing Penn State!)

Did "Shell's Game" go Flat Footed or did he just get Fat? Wow, what a come down and to think if James Conner had stayed another year at Pitt, Hopewell's Dorsett's Records could have been matched when everyone thought NO RUSHel Shell lacked the focus and discipline do it. Aliquippa's Henry made that mistake too going to WVU?

I think the rise and fall of guys from the combine is more media driven than anything. Two reasons, first, they have to have something to talk about until the draft so they manufacture drama, and second, NFL personnel types spread disinformation so that other teams won't know what they're thinking on draft day.

It's the same garbage every year so I'm a little shocked that there's still debate.

It would be rather impressive if we have 6 guys drafted.
Everyone of them are focused on being better Football Players since coming to Pitt, and all have the Character to just get better and better!

Pitt & Fans can be very proud of these Players and the NFL Combines are proving Coach Narduzzi just help make them better just like Steeler's Bell happen to him at MSU.

Slightly disagree with much due respect.....in the end the Best end up with more All Pro Honors and various NFL Players of the year Awards and in Hall of Fames!
