That's right it is baseball season folks and our Pitt Panthers begin play this weekend down here in sunny Florida. I am planning on attending the double header on Saturday (as long as the weather controls itself). I don't know what to expect from this team other than hopeful improvement from last season. I know Zeuch was just named as a top prospect in the ACC, so hoping he has a successful year as expected. Pitching I believe is to be top heavy with Zeuch and senior Sandefur. I can say that incoming freshman from down here in central Florida Derek West completely tore his UCL and had Tommy John surgery on the 13th for it and I hope it gets back to full strength and beyond. This team did have nice series wins over #1 UVA and top ranked UNC last year if I remember correctly.
Again hoping for the best and at least improvement for the Panthers this year. Those with deeper insight and opinions on the team please share, so I know who and what to keep an eye out for on Saturday. Also if anyone is heading down Saturday let me know.
