Pitt Baseball wins big…

They played a 12 inning game, with Pitt getting to bat in the bottom of the 12th despite being ahead 15-7. I guess both coaches wanted everyone to get some experience. Pitt either had two or three Grand Slams and Youngstown State pitchers walked 22 batters.

That's the way these fall games always are. Teams are using all their pitchers and just about no one on either team plays the whole game. Yesterday Pitt used 11 pitchers, only two of whom pitched more than one inning. Youngstown used 13 pitchers and none of them pitched more than an inning and a third.

Which is why the results of these fall games are so completely meaningless.
