Is anyone going to watch Pitt play in Kissimmee, FL? I am on vacation in the area and plan on taking my nephews to a game.

Weird game. Pitt scored four runs in one inning on two hits, and then three runs in another inning without getting a hit. Those two innings combined, 7 runs, 2 hits, 6 left on base. The 7th inning was the worst, walk, walk, walk, walk, fielders choice to get the guy at home, walk, hit by pitch. Seven batters, one out, three runs, five walks and one hit batsmen.

For the game, Pitt only had 6 hits but Villanova walked 15 batters in all.

The baseball team ran into three teams that refused to walk nearly as many Panther batters, and so not surprisingly Pitt lost the last three games of the weekend.

They actually did hit some today, but still lost to Milwaukee. And no, not the Brewers.

Tough start for both the Diamond Panthers. Women lost 8 of first 9 and men lost 3 of first 4.

We went to the game yesterday. The one thing that I noticed is a lot of our guys were undersized compared to Milwaukee. A few of the pitchers we used were not very tall and the 1st baseman wasn’t very big. It is an interesting experience because it is a tournament setting and you walk right by the other teams as they are coming into the stadium. Iowa was the best team in the tournament.

It is one thing to be undersized compared to say, Louisville. But Milwaukee? That isn’t supposed to be the case.
