Pitt defensive backs coach Renaldo Hill stopped by Palmetto Prep in South Carolina today, mostly just doing due diligence to see what they had. One player who caught his eye is receiver Tyriq Martin. He's a big receiver at 6'4" and 190 pounds, and he's at Palmetto Prep because his grades weren't up to snuff.
Martin has those issues resolved now, and from what I'm told, as soon as Hill watched some of Martin's tape, he asked for transcripts.
We'll see what this interest turns into, but Martin could be a good piece to add to the roster if Pitt happens to come across a hole at receiver.
