Impressive article on Penn State QB Starter McSorley, he played DB in High School, ran the Moorhead QB Version, his Father was an Assistant Coach, and he is adjusting quite well as the Starter, remind me much like Tyler Palko back ground traits.
No question McSorley is a very good Football Player at QB. The Moorhead system could in sooner not later?
I'll wait until I see the Villanova and Kent State games, but I still think this higher scoring game decided by Special Teams by 3. So long as Pitt's OC Canada, QB Nate Peterman can produce steady Ball Control and more points, Pitt should win it.

Born to win? Penn State QB Trace McSorley did it from Day 1 in high school ... and nearly did it against Georgia
It's open to debate whether the Penn State football program owns a "signature" win during James Franklin's time in State College."I definitely got a lot more comfortable as the game went on,'' McSorley said early in summer, referring to his two-touchdown performance vs. the Bulldogs in relief of injured Christian Hackenberg. His passing and running triggered a spirited rally from 24-3 down. "Once I saw a couple of my passes be completed, and we started to have some success, the game definitely slowed down for me, especially after I got the first touchdown pass.'……….
"Sometimes when a guy is thrown into the fire, he is kind of timid. (McSorley) was just like, 'The team is mine, I gotta go do what I do'.''……..….
"Tommy and Trace did a very good job with the installation from Day 1 up until the spring game,'' Moorhead said earlier in summer when asked about his young QBs. "They need to continue to work on their fundamentals and technique in both the run game and the pass game standpoint, continue to work on the mental part of the game, just the combination of those.''………….
The 6-0, 200-pounder was 55-5 as a four-year starter in high school, leading Briar Woods to four state championship game appearances and three titles. Trace also made life tough on high school foes as a safety, a position he played his final two years."Trace was a really good defensive back,'' Rick McSorley said……………….
The Moorhead offense is a much more complex version of what McSorley did at Briar Woods but fans expecting to see the Penn State QB — be it McSorley or Stevens — go off on a series of designed runs in every game may be mistaken…….
McSorley isn't Michael Robinson, the Lions' QB who led PSU to an Orange Bowl triumph in 2005. Robinson was built like a tailback at 225 pounds and he would later play fullback in the NFL.
