I recall all the hoopla about Pitt Johnny Major's Rebuilding with high expectaions in 1973 and few believed it until Pitt tied Georgia and even then it took another 3 years to win 10+ Games. I not only feel but can see the same shades of of this attitude developing at Pitt under Coach Pat & Staff and ACC Power Conference Income. It is the Players that are follewing the attitude and confidence of the Coaches. The Talent was young back then but grew every year even more talented, and th3 same thing is happening at Pitt. just read the quotes of the players.

Clear;y, Coach Narduzzi media Out will become a Trademark for Pitt in the coming years, just like it is with MSU's Coach Dantonio and soon an attitude much as the Steeler's carry will become common place. It begins by beating the Powerful Penn State Football Program with its dynamic Coach in Jimmy Franklin's Team and not allowing them to comeback and take any lead. Penn State Players gave it their all to the last minute, but their coaching let them down early on poor Game Plan Planning, and often later with not being able to capitalize on Pitt Turnovers.

While Pitt Coaching just stayed steady and did not play it safe and that was without a Kicking Game? I definitely felt that Penn State had tied the game as it appeared they would, they could beat Pitt with their Licking Game in Overtime. Still, that did not happen, Pitt just stopped them when it counted most and is a sign no one university, Coach, Team, or Program will "Dominate The State" and the 'Unrivaled" Nittany Lions, have a Rivalry whether they like it not?

Paterno could win more with feckless Slogans in the Big Ten and neither will Franklin at Penn State. it takes Great Coaching and the ability to coach talent. Franklin is a good coach to rebuild Programs into 8 wins, but not for the Big Ten or ACC Elites to win 10+ Games every year. Pitt still as a way to go too, but it has a Path of Progress in the ACC better than Penn State in the Big Ten. Penn State will realize it in 2 years from now. I called that back in 1997-98 and told people that Paterno needs to retire and I was proved right back then, and they laughed. Joe was winning at 8th Team Third Tier Level in the Big Ten by 2010 as Penn Staters cried in 2011 when Joe was fired. I was right then and I am more right now on Franklin.

Pitt meanwhile will do just fine in the ACC and if Temple gets into the Big-12, so will the Owls with Big-12 Money just like most of you will see a rebirth of Rutgers & Maryland too. All 4 will diminish Penn State Football in the coming years to 7 too 8 wins in most seasons. Pitt by no means is there yet either, but it is taking the right steps to get there and it started in 2015, in Narduzzi's First Year as a Head Coach. Unlike Franklin that has 6 years as a Head coach and says his Third Year is his First Year at Penn State? To me, that is just Brag with no Facts! If Paterno could not make Penn State a Top Tier in the Big Ten, neither can Franklin. Jay Paterno may not have Knew but he Knows it now too that Franklin will fail at Penn State!

Watch and see and believe is no longer needed, Coach Pat Is A Perfect Fit For Pitt & Our Little Younger Brother & Sister's Nits know it too!

Excerpt:

Leave it to a senior to find a way to put what was an unforgettable day into proper perspective. “It's definitely a great step,” Caprara said. “But this season is far from over. We have so much more to prove. We're not even bowl eligible yet.”............But this victory felt different than any Pitt has experienced in recent memory. And it goes beyond the in-state rivalry that attracted 69,983 people to Heinz Field — the largest crowd to see a sporting event in Pittsburgh history. “It's too soon to call,” said senior tight end Scott Orndoff when asked whether this shuts the book on recent Pitt failures. “But if it's going to happen, it's going to happen now. “Coach (Pat) Narduzzi is taking this team in a direction it hasn't seen in a while. We are always going to look back on this game and say that's how you want to feel after every game, after every season.”.....The defense was only average — Penn State totaled 406 yards and scored five touchdowns, but when Pitt needed a big play, Caprara, defensive end Rori Blair, linebacker Quintin Wirginis and, especially, cornerback Ryan Lewis were there.......Yet the victory means nothing if Pitt can't follow it up with, at least, the hope of contending for an ACC championship.........“It was a back-and-forth slugfest,” Narduzzi said. “You look at the stats, (and you say), ‘Why was it?' “We have to find out why we couldn't finish it off faster.”.....To Pitt's credit, Penn State coach James Franklin may be asking why his team was ambushed at the outset.......Peterman was not asked to throw downfield too far, but he was 11 for 15 for 91 yards and three touchdowns. His only interception was deflected off the hands of receiver Dontez Ford. Peterman wasn't sacked. “We can certainly take more shots downfield, but we won,” Peterman said. “We just have to keep finding ways to win.”.......“We didn't live up to the standard Week 1,” he said. “We were called out on it. We didn't shy away from it in practice this week.” “You guys saw our offense (Saturday),” Narduzzi said after the game. “Last week really wasn't our offense. Coach Canada had 350 plays on his wristband. We had a couple more we didn't call.”...........Pitt couldn't stop Penn State on fourth-and-16 when quarterback Trace McSorley, who threw for 332 yards, hit wide receiver DeAndre Thompkins for 34 yards. You could almost sense the shadows of past disappointments rolling into Heinz Field. Two plays later, however, Lewis' interception in the end zone sealed the victory!.......
Penn State Franklin recruited lots of talent but Pitt Narduzzi has Teams and I don't think he will lose one game to Franklin the next 3 years!
