Even though my ticket was in a chair seat on the 45 yard line, I opted to sit across the aisle from the band, with most of the Pitt fans. I'm really glad that I did. I had an absolute blast. Everybody was loud the entire game. The band played constantly, and even though it was a pep band and not the full marching band ( only about 50 compared to the usual 280 ), they drowned out the Duke band the entire day. I would guesstimate about 5000-7000 Pitt fans in the stadium. Very impressive showing for our school.
On a sidenote, I really liked Wallace Wade Stadium. Completely different feel than Heinz Field. Yes, I realize it's an on-campus stadium, and Pitt isn't going to have that, but it was a really enjoyable experience.
